We are EXCHANGE STUDENTS!
Saturday, October 11, 2008
Its obviously no secret that exchange students are slackers and aren't here to learn. We're on exchange so we can have fun. One of the modules that Jiahui and I are taking together, E-Government, has a presentation that grants you a bonus grade. But it won't change your grade from a fail to a pass though. Nonetheless, we decided to present because we wanted to show Germany how owning SMU presentations are. Plus Jiahui and I are insanely good presenters.
However as the presentation date drew nearer... we started to feel... unmotivated. The key word here is VALUE. Everything we do in Germany must have VALUE. If its not VALUE, then there's no point doing it. 4EU for a lunch? Sure! But only if the portions are huge. Its all about VALUE.
The time now, by the way is 2303 of Friday night 10/10/08. The presentation is on Tuesday afternoon 14/10/08. And after trying to read the stupid article, we just got too irritated at the incomprehensible language. After much deliberation, we decided to tell the TA that we were no longer presenting. The excuse? We are EXCHANGE STUDENTS.
Ladies and Gentlemen, what you are about to see next is raw and uncut. The following is the actual Email I sent to the TA.
Dear Nils,
I would just like to inform you that we've changed our minds about presenting because the bonus grade does not affect us as exchange students. Thus we will NOT be presenting the case. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Regards,
Vincent
