There really is nothing to Blog about when nothing much really happens in your life. So I'm just gonna blog about a random collection of things...
SOCCER
Well World Cup was a disappointment. My favourites Brazil, Argentina, Spain and Germany all didn't do too well. Germany got third place but what a sucky defeat to Italy. Argentina and Spain were exciting to watch all the way until the point where they lost. Brazil was a big fat disappointement and I blame the Coach and Ronaldo. I think the team that entertained me the most was Portugal. Let's look back:
Portugal v Holland This record setting match with 16 cards given was 60 min soccer and 30 PURE DRAMA! Choke slam by Cocu against Deco! Figo Headbutting action! And the team sissy C.Ronaldo leaves the pitch in tears yet again!
Portugal v England I hate England so imagine my delight as Rooney the Man-child gets sent off. He deserved it if you ask me. I love how his face contorts in petulant anger all the time. Here's something for all you England fans:
So after 64 matches of dubious refereeing, award winning play acting and action packed headbutting, World Cup is finally over. 10 points to Zidane for the headbutt by the way, most players shove but the Magician uses his head. Too Cool.
NDP NDP is just around the corner and I am fortunate to be an usher! Led by a Heartware Volunteer Organization person who really loves the sound of his own voice, I am up for 5 weeks of KFC ration eating. Whee! I have really had a taste of some the ugly ugly Singaporean behavior out at the National Stadium. And check out the sexy usher uniforms. Nuff` said. But down at the Stadium I realise what NDP is all about. Propaganda. All the national songs in booming symphonic grandeur that precedes the fireworks.. it's just to force instill patriotism where there is none. Even I, the guy who really feels nothing for Singapore, felt a bit patriotic that day. Clearly we are Singapore, Singaporeans.
Speaking of which Gurmit is such a bad host. I quote;
